Information Director up to £70k plus bens

Salary: £60000 - £70000 per annum + bonus and benefits

As Information Director, you'll provide strategic input to business strategy with respect to health information and clinical systems and link this to developments in the NHS and Department of Health. You'll support business units with Primary Care Trusts providing expert representation of health informatics including: NHS Choose and Book, Health Data Sets, and the use and integration of clinical systems. It will be your responsibility to provide health informatics input to new business development and tendering processes including proposing solutions to meet tender requirements and supporting the definition of reporting requirements to ensure the business can deliver on its contractual requirements. You'll also be responsible for improving the data quality of business unit activity, working closely with the local teams. A significant part of the role will focus on the introduction of robust reporting across the group and this will include working with regional business directors to ensure that implemented services are meeting contractual/statutory requirements; ensuring that any daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly annual reporting requirements are delivered for business units and driving reporting requirements across the business including specialist knowledge of NHS Datasets, 18 Weeks, Choose and Book, Department of Health returns, Secondary Users Service (SUS) and Hospital Episode Statistics (HES). As the Information Director, you'll champion the effective use of available data to shape future patient services and improve existing services. You'll look to innovative predictive modelling techniques and health analytics to provide a significant input into commissioning of new services and work closely with PCT's to identify where your organisation can add greater value to local populations.
