My client are looking to recruit an experienced Network Manager to manage lead the day to day IT operations, servicing a fast-moving and IT-literate multi-site organisation.
You will have strong Microsoft skills including Windows 2003, Exchange 2007 and Sharepoint 2007 ideally some exposure to more recent releases also. Virtualisation knowledge and experience are also important with a large proportion of virtualisation using VMware. The successful Network Manager will have strong networking skills to include TCP/IP and an appreciation of LAN/ WAN technologies.
The ideal candidate will be extremely motivated and have recent exposure to MCSE, MCSA courses and qualifications
You will initially be involved in a rapid improvement programme following the success of a recent in-sourcing project. Network optimisation, a new gold build for desktops and laptops and the implementation of ITIL-based processes are all part of this year’s programme of activities. As a leading member of an IT team of some 50 people you will help establish and host the IT infrastructure and will be involved in troubleshooting as required. The ability to communicate well up to board level is a must as well as a proven ability to assess the benefits of new technology introduction.
