Salary: £37000 - £45500 per annum + Final Salary Pension

Safety Cases Auditing Quality Safety Engineer TickIT ISO 9001 - Leeds / West Yorkshire - This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join a cutting edge NHS IT programme to work as an IT Quality and Safety Engineer within a large IT Assurance Department. Reporting to the Senior Safety Engineer you will be responsible for providing technical assurance and hazard assessment for Clinical IT Systems developed externally by suppliers for use across the NHS. You will be producing safety reports and making recommendations whilst promoting good practice both internally and externally to suppliers. The successful candidate will have previous experience of analysing safety standards and hazard assessments on safety critical products/solutions ideally supplying into the healthcare market however this is not essential. More importantly is a demonstrable career in safety management ideally gained within the Military, Transport, Aerospace, Nuclear or Hygiene sectors. Central to the role will be the production of safety reports and as such it is essential you can demonstrate significant experience in this area. You will also have significant experience in managing and providing governance of third party suppliers of systems/products/services and will have demonstrable experience of conducting safety audits on third party suppliers systems and frameworks. This will include the ability to facilitate the resolution of issues in a sensitive/political environment. This role is Supplier facing and would require you to travel throughout the UK therefore some flexibility around travel is essential.
